1077 project proposals have been submitted to the MSCA Doctoral Networks Call

2524 partners from 56 countries have submitted  1077 proposals to the HORIZON-MSCA-2021-DN-01 call. The selection results will be announced by mid-April 2022.

In response to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ActionsSearch for available translations of the preceding linkEN••• (MSCA) Doctoral Networks 2021 call, the European Research Executive Agency (REA) received 1077 proposals by the deadline of 16 November 2021.  Applicants from 56 countries have applied for funding under the HORIZON-MSCA-2021-DN-01 call for proposals.

There is a total available budget of €402,95 million to fund research and innovation projects for MSCA Doctoral Networks (DN), whose purpose is to train a new generation of creative, entrepreneurial and innovative researchers.

This year’s call confirms that the standard Doctoral Networks (DN)Search for available translations of the preceding linkEN••• is the most popular scheme with 897 proposals submitted, followed by the DN Industrial Doctorates (DN-ID) with 101 proposals, and the DN Joint Doctorates (DN-JD) with 78 proposals.

Projects will be selected for funding with the support of external independent expert evaluatorsdrawn from the European Commission’s experts’ database. Evaluations are expected to start on 5 January 2022, and the selection results will be announced by 19 April 2022 at the latest. REA will sign grant agreements with the successful applicants in August 2022.
